Walt Disney Pictures will honor the St. Louis police canine unit Saturday for its bravery and service and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the unit, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Four canine teams from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department will be recognized: Two of the dogs recently risked their lives during the tracking of armed felons, while two other dogs that are retired from the force will be honored for working more than a decade, the department said in a release.
The event, to be held at 11 a.m. at the intersection of 13th and Chestnut streets, is part of Disney’s national fundraising tour to benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
The campaign also ties into the release of the new Disney move, “Bolt,” an animated comedy.

It loos like it could be pretty bad in certain parts of Texas.
we are down in Corpus Christi, TX and it looks like we are going to get a bunch of rain and strom surge but that should be the extent of the storm by us.
